I invite you to watch me on this new Docu-series airing Wednesday nights at 8p 7p.

They previously ruled the small screen with their portrayals of some powerful women in both daytime and primetime soap operas, and now, the actresses behind some of the most memorable roles on television are teaming up for a new reality series project, Queens of Drama.

The show features Chrystee Pharris (Passions, General Hospital), Lindsay Hartley (All My Children, Days of Our Lives), Crystal Hunt (Guiding Light, One Life To Live), Vanessa Marcil (Las Vegas, General Hospital), , and Hunter Tylo (The Bold and the Beautiful)

The reality series will feature the women as they develop, pitch and produce a new drama series, with the goal of landing a pilot deal before their 10 episodes are up. The show is also scheduled to have surprise appearances by other female vets as well, including Donna Mills (Knots Landing, Melrose Place) and even Joan Collins (Dynasty).

Pop’s Senior Vice President of Programming, Paul Adler, said the show was not only sure to be a treat for fans of the soap operas these women have starred on, but would also tap into the idea of empowering women to go after the things they desire most.

“Queens of Drama features a powerful, all-star cast of soap’s leading ladies, while tapping into the sensibility of female empowerment, taking charge and having it all,” he said. “We’re excited to give fans a new perspective of these women.

Don’t ever be afraid of ‘change’. Always remember, God will never take anything away from you without the intention of replacing it with something better.

Change. A lot of times we know we are suppose to make changes but we don’t out of fear or because we are comfortable where we are, even though we are not happy. A mentor said once that we don’t make changes until we are up against the wall and it’s painful. But what if we welcome change. And made the change ourselves and not let “change” make the decision for us.

When I decided to be bicoastal and have a place in LA and Atlanta, it was a hard discussion for me. I was leaving 17 years of work in LA, friends I knew, and I knew no one in Atlanta. And I was leaving Hollywood, the place were all actors move to, to become stars! WHAT “ARE YOU DOING CHRYSTEE,” I asked myself. But my gut told me to do it and I started packing. To make sure I didn’t question myself again, I chose not to tell anyone else so that THEY didn’t question what I knew in my heart to do. I decided to be bicoastal because I needed to kick up the dust, dance to my own rhythm and find happiness. And in 10 months, I have booked a few films, a few tv shows, met new friends, and started my own business teaching the business side of acting. Wow Chrystee! I’m even proud of myself. There is no way all of this would have happened had I stayed complacent where I was. I learned to enjoy the change and to have fun with it.

What change are you afraid of? Don’t wait until it hurts to make the change, take control over it and make the change now. Be excited about it. So many things are waiting for you. It’s timeto walk into your destiny.

Family isn’t always blood. It’s the people in your life who want you in theirs. The ones who accept you for who you are. The ones who would do anything to see you smile and who love you no matter what.

June is over and time for fun in the sun. I had the pleasure of being in my best friends wedding and wow was it an experience. It didn’t feel like a wedding, it felt like a celebration. I was honored to be apart of it. One thing my best friend Natasha taught me when we first met was family can be anyone who loves you no matter what. It does not have to just be your parents or siblings- it can be your best friend or your mentor, or your friends at school. You can redefine what family looks like if you need to. Just surround yourself with positive people. Since I was in Los Angeles by myself, Natasha became my family.

Take some time to reach out to friends or family who have made you smile over the years. You never know, your voice just might give them the strength to keep going today.

A little update that I am excited about! Our trailer for the movie Steps of Faith came out two days ago and we have over 2,000 views! When you get the opportunity, watch the trailer and if you like it, leave a comment below the trailer. Views and comments will help us get into the theaters and film festivals so share with your friends. Thanks again for all the support.

Well, May is over and it’s time for June. This month was a busy month traveling and I was fortunate to meet new friends along the way. These last 30 days was an act of selflessnessfor me. I felt like it was a month to be of service. I volunteered to drive 9 hours to Richmond, VA, to do promotional work for our show Lady Patriot written by Ted Lange. No one asked, I just said when and where do you need me. Yes, I was busy and tired and had a long list of things to do, but my gut told me to do it anyway. A few days out of my busy schedule was not going to kill me to help a group of nuns raise money for their land.

I had no idea that act of selflessness would have such an impact on a community, a group of nuns, my cast, and more importantly me. It’s amazing something so minor to me, gave hope to others and inspired the Richmond community to come out and support our show. Because of that act of selflessness, we were able to raise money for the nuns at Francis Emma Inc. that built schools during the 1890′s to help educate African American and Native American children in Powahatan, VA. One of those students is a cast member in Lady Patriot, Lou Beatty Jr., who went there in the 60′s and said that school saved his life.

But with all that being said, you know what? I was the one who was blessed. I met a group of people that I felt like I had known my whole life. I bonded with my cast like I had never done before, and I came back home feeling full and inspired. Who would of known that split second decision to say, “Whatever you need, I am there,” would lead to hundreds of people being touched.

When was the last time you did something selfless for someone or for an organization and you felt full from doing it? Make that a goal in the next few weeks. Help a friend, a coworker, volunteer for the homeless, for veteran, the elderly, or even a group of nuns! That act of kindness will be small to you, but will give someone else hope and help them feel full.

Happy April,

This month was busy all because I threw it out there! On Facebook, February 23rd, I posted a message that said, “I would like to do an independent film, just thought I would throw it out there.” 4 weeks later, someone reached out to me about an indie film and 5 days later, I was on a plane to Dallas to shoot the film for 3 weeks. My character’s name is Faith in a movie called, Steps of Faith where Tracey Ross (Passions) and Ted Lange (Love Boat) play my parents.

Since, I was a kid, I always threw things I wanted out into the universe. I remember when I needed a photographer, I focused on it everyday. The next week, I ran into photographers everywhere! Even when I was driving down the streets of LA, photographers would throwtheir cards into my car and say, “I am a photographer, I would love to shoot you.” Finally, photographer, Tim Alexander stopped me & said he not only wanted to shoot me but do my website as well. That website became so popular in the tv/film industry, I would have random people stop me and say, “I loved your photos on your website. I would love to put you in my upcoming project.”

I remember wanting to meet Will Smith and Jada Pinkett-Smith. I focused on that for 2 months. I didn’t personally meet them but they hired me on their show! The role I booked was already offered to another actress but after my audition, they gave me the role and offered the other actress another character on a different episode.

What is it that you need to throw out there and believe you will get it/achieve it? I just finished a book called The Alchemist, by Paulo Coelho. I had the audio book for years but never listened to it and I finally did this week. The book confirmed for me what happened for me this month. It was a reminder that when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it. My challenge for you is to write the vision down on paper & focus on it. Throw it out there. I had a vision that took a year, but it happened because I believed it. I had faith. It can happen for you as well. Audio link to The Alchemist.

Happy Birthday!

Oh, wait that is to me! Yay!

What I am grateful for is you. Thank you for always being supportive, encouraging me when you respond back to my emails, or tweets, or Facebook responses.

My birthday wish is that you do something nice for someone today. If you go through a toll- pay for the two cars after you; if you buy a Starbucks coffee today- pay for the person in front of you; if you run into a homeless person- give them food, or a dollar, or even say hi; hold the door for someone; let someone cut in your lane while you are driving to work this morning; do something that will make the next person smile. Maybe your smile might reach me through someone you smiled at, who then smiles at someone else, who then smiles at me! It’s possible! It’s a small world.

Happy February!

We are 2 months into the year and I hope you are still on fire about your dreams and goals. As we read in January’s Blog about becoming an Entrepreneur, this month is about the Law of Attraction. How your thoughts determine your outcome.

When I was growing up, I always visualized what I wanted and I always got it, whether it be a good outcome or bad. When I was 8 years old, I had a piggy bank with $100 saved! That day, I wrote a note and put it in the piggy bank that said, “I know no one will steal this from me,” and sure enough, someone broke into our house that night and took it. And we lived in a good neighborhood too! As I became a teenager, I realized I needed to visualize and speakonly positive thoughts.

At 18, I visualized getting into Emerson College after my counselor told me I only had a 2% chance of getting accepted. I had to meditate and pray for a while, to get that negative thought out of my mind. After my audition for Emerson, the head of the theater department told me on the spot, he wanted me at Emerson and what did he have to do to get me there.

My first year out college at 22, I wrote on a piece of paper in January, that I was going to book a sitcom, a film, and a national commercial by November that year. I forgot I wrote that vision down. In November, I found that piece of paper, and yes, I booked all three, 2 days before the deadline!

Visualizing what you want, controlling your thoughts is a big part of achieving your goals. I pray and mediate daily on what I am grateful for and then focus on what I want out of life.

Today, take some time to be grateful for what you already have and then be grateful for what you will receive in the future as though you already have it now. Here is a video to give you more clarity. The Secret. It’s a different perspective to Napoleon’s Hill’s video in December’s Blog.

Happy New Year! It’s a brand new year and I am excited about 2014! New dreams & new goals. As we go into 2014 determined to achieve our goals and dreams, we ask ourselves “Where do we start?” Starting is always hard. We all get scared, but like my October Blog, said, fear feels the same as excitement. So, we must change our mindset.

In Forbes, I read an article, How to Become An Entrepreneur In 12 Weeks. I found the article encouraging. It shows how to start small and take baby steps. So, I decided to try it. An In Search of O sitcom/talk show is my goal so I am starting small. Video blogging on my website weekly for my viewers to respond to. It’s scary! Wait! The scary feeling is the same feeling as excitement, so I am excited! Yes I am excited!

I encourage you, if you have a dream, read the article. You are an entrepreneur and don’t even know it.
